Mary’s day job is as the creative director at a top consumer brand agency in Chicago where she is responsible for award-winning ad campaigns and websites for many of the products that we use on a daily basis.

A serial monogamist, she’s managed dozens of internal and external communications efforts for industry, trade associations, professional services firms and government. Her work includes message development, media training, speech writing and advising clients at the intersection of public policy and business interests.

Joan has brought a disciplined approach to economic data analysis and research to Knapp Marketing for over a dozen years. Prior to working with Knapp, Joan directed market research programs in-house for Stanley Black & Decker and Pulte Homes. From the development of reliable survey instruments to flashes of insight into subjective and objective data, Joan’s skills have been instrumental in the development of Knapp’s data-driven approach.
